John Rouleau

Poetry

Rhythm Haiku

rhythm of my life

work and dinner and dishes

right enough by me

Beef Stew

Steep in your childhood,

honey, good and long

like the beef

in your momma's stew,

and let me savor

it's marvelous aroma.

Untitled

Tiny Chinese boy

Waves at me and toddles by

Master thief of hearts

At Your Service

me

your campfire

on the family room

floor this

cool evening.

Snuggling,

I warm you

if only for

the few moments

you pause,

my princess.

at

your

service.

Count Blessings

Another birthday

washes over like a wave.

It dawns on me -

count blessings,

not years.
